In this blog post, I want to share with you a simple exercise called the "Inventory of what is true."

The problem that we often encounter is Overestimation and Dismissing Suffering: Often, we have a tendency to overestimate the problems we face. We blow them out of proportion, making them seem much bigger and more important than they actually are. Conversely, we underestimate the positive aspects of our lives and dismiss our own suffering. We may even build emotional armor to protect ourselves from life's difficulties. However, it's essential to acknowledge our struggles without adding unnecessary weight to them.

The First Step of Healing:

Learning to be there for yourself: One crucial aspect of healing is learning to be there for yourself. This means taking healthy actions toward addressing your needs. It might involve self-care practices, standing up for yourself when necessary, or even making difficult decisions like leaving a toxic relationship. While these actions can be challenging, they are often necessary steps on the path to healing. By prioritizing your well-being and taking positive action, you empower yourself to overcome obstacles and move forward.

The second step is Recognizing what is true.

Being Ground to Earth and Realistic: Another vital element of healing is adopting a realistic and pragmatic perspective. It's about seeing the reality of any given situation without adding unnecessary embellishments or dismissing it altogether. By embracing realism, we can approach challenges with a clearer mindset, free from distorted perceptions. This approach enables us to address issues more effectively and make informed decisions about how to navigate them.

The "Inventory of What Is True" Exercise: To implement these principles in your life, I invite you to try the "Inventory of What is True" exercise. This exercise involves making a conscious inventory of both the positive and negative aspects of your life. It encourages you to assess your challenges realistically while also recognizing the good things around you. By completing a series of guided questions, you can gain a deeper understanding of your situation and develop a more balanced perspective. (add your email below to get the   document)

In terms of healing and becoming whole again, it is a process; I address 2 big components here in this blog but it is not all there is. Stay tuned for more info on this.

Learning to be there for yourself and being realistic are crucial steps in the journey of healing and personal growth. By practicing self-care, taking positive action, and acknowledging the reality of your circumstances, you can develop a more approachable and empowered mindset.

The "Inventory of what is true" exercise serves as a practical tool to guide you on this path. Remember, healing is a process, and by being kind to yourself and seeking a realistic outlook, you can find strength and resilience within.
